Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) brings together experts from several disciplines to educate new generations of global health leaders, with the goal of transforming the health and lives of people around the world. To elevate the profile of this remarkable institution, we led a comprehensive Visual Identity and Communications Strategy process.
To achieve its mission, HSPH needs to influence health policy. How to make that real to policy-makers? Focus on the people whose lives are diminished by the status quo. We encouraged a “show and tell” design method that links concepts with real-life profiles that put people first. And because HSPH is a go-to source for news outlets, we redesigned the web homepage to facilitate news reporting and research.
Like many large academic institutions, HSPH has a complex brand hierarchy. We built a process to engage the school-wide community in the redesign, and built an easy-to-access WordPress standards guide to promote visual integration across the organization.
